Motorised louvres and LED lighting: is the option worth it?

August 26, 2026

As standard, the adjustable louvres of our pergolas are operated by crank: simple, reliable, maintenance-free. On the Jopergola Signature, an option replaces that gesture with a remote control and adds LED lighting with a dimmer. Should you go for it?

What motorisation really changes

Adjusting your louvres several times a day — low morning sun, midday heat, cool evening — becomes a reflex when a button press is all it takes. With a crank, you do it… less often. Motorisation does not change what the pergola can do: it changes how often you use it.

The built-in lighting, the real surprise

The lighting is often what settles it: LEDs built into the roof, dimmable, turn the pergola into an evening room. Dinner, reading, a long apéro — no extension lead, no floor lamp.

The price, straight up

The motorised louvres + LED lighting option costs €2,500 incl. VAT, installed on the Jopergola Signature. On a 6 × 3.6 m model at €6,900, the whole setup stays under €9,500.

Our advice

If the pergola will be your outdoor living room — daily meals, long evenings — the option pays for itself in comfort from the first summer. For a shade corner used now and then, the crank does the job perfectly. Electrical parts carry a 2-year warranty; try both during the technical visit, and compare totals with our online configurator.
